Everett Andrew Brownell, 77, Hamilton, died Sunday of natural causes at a Missoula Hospital.

He was born April 21, 1906 at Belgrade to William and Jennie Brownell.

He was educated at Foster Creek School and Belgrade High School.

On Oct. 29, 1932, he married Martha A. Reagan in Anaconda.

They farmed at Belgrade until 1950, then lived in Phoenix, Ariz., and California. For the past five years, they resided in Hamilton.

He was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons, the Independent Order of Foresters, Ionic Lodge #38 AF&FM and OES in Hamilton, Scottish Rite in San Diego, Calif. and the Bagdad Temple in Butte.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Wesley; and a sister, Ethel Davis.

Survivors include his wife of the family home; one son, Everett Harold Brownell of San Jose, Calif.; one daughter, Barbara Hedger of Hamilton; one sister, Hazel Nisbett of Belgrade; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Missoula Wednesday following cremation.

Memorial service will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the United Methodist-Baptist Church in Hamilton with the Rev. Robert L. Barnes officiating.

The family suggests memorials to the Shriners Crippled Childrens Hospital on Summit Boulevard in Spokane, Wash., or to the donor's choice.
