After raising her children, she enjoyed passing the time in her garden, rug weaving and fishing in the Canyon Ferry Reservoir.
Her parents, husband, five sisters, two brothers and one great grandson preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters, Marlene Hagan, of Bozeman, Dixie and husband, Michael Wharton, of Glenco, Okla.; son, Walter, and his wife, Agnes Campbell, of Manhattan; brother, Barney Verwolf, of Stevensville; sisters, Helen Holderby, of Walla Walla, Wash., Betty Jean Julian, of Manhattan; nine grand children; 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; many loving friends; and special companion of eight years, Ruff the Dachshund.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 4, at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, located between Bozeman and Belgrade. Should friends desire, memorial contributions in Margaret's name may be made to the Manhattan Senior Center, 102 East Railroad Avenue South, Manhattan, MT 59741 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
