The funeral for Jennifer L. "Jenni" Davis, 27, of Pontiac, will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Duffy Funeral Home, Pontiac, the Rev. Gretchen Stinebaugh officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Miss Davis died at noon Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008, at Rochester Methodist Hospital, Mayo Clinic, in Rochester, Minn. She was born Nov. 10, 1980, at Pontiac, the daughter of Steven A. and Connie M. (Welch) Davis. Surviving are her parents, of Chenoa; one brother, Kevin A. Davis, Pontiac; her maternal grandfather, Lonnie Welch Sr., Pontiac; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and her loving and compassionate best friend, her dog, Carter. Miss Davis was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Jeannie Welch, and her paternal grandparents, Marilyn and Roger Davis. She was a 1999 graduate of Pontiac Township High School and attended Heartland Community College. Miss Davis was employed as a certified nurse aide at OSF Saint James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center. She worked with many local nursing homes. She also gave horse-riding lessons for many years. She was a member of Chief City Saddle Club of Forrest and the Pro Rodeo Association.
