Leland Florea, age 88, of Somerset passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at the Lake Cumberland Regional.
Mr. Florea was born in Cincinnati, OH on April 9, 1919 to the late Harley Clifton & Macy McCann Florea. He was a 32 degree Mason, aviation cadet and enjoyed woodworking. He was a WW II Air Force veteran and a member of the Whetstone Baptist Church.
Mr. Florea is survived by his wife, Jewell Holt Florea whom he married March 31, 1973 in Covington, KY; 3 sons, Daniel Florea, Ohio, Lee John Florea, Florida, Wendell Meece, Ohio; 2 daughters, Shannon & Jonathan Feddock, Lexington, KY, Debra & Mark Duncan, California and 2 grandchildren, Adam Duncan and Ashlee Meece.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Chester Florea, Isaac Harley
Florea and 2 sisters, Alice and Luella.
Funeral services for Leland Florea were held on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home at 10:00am with Bro Gene Tarter & Bro Troy Merrick officiating. Interment followed in the Providence Cemetery. Military Honors were conducted by American Legion Post # 38 Honor Guard.
