Albert R. Durham, 84 years of age, of Ferguson, Kentucky, departed this life on Wednesday, April 9th, 2008 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.
Albert was born in West Somerset, Kentucky on September 2nd, 1923, son of the late Norman Trumane "Bull" Durham and Neva McPheron Durham. Albert was a quiet, gentle person, loved by his family and all who knew him. He was a member of the Pitman Creek Baptist Church. Albert was a United States Army veteran of World War II.
Albert was survived by two sisters, Helen Galloway and Geneva Durham; one nephew Michael (and Wilma) Galloway; two nieces, Barbara Valentour and Norma Price; several great nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman Durham, who departed this life on May 31st,1952 and Neva Durham, who departed this life on December 29th, 1981; two brothers, Herbert Trumane Durham, who departed this life on February 9th, 1954 and Linvard H. Durham, who departed this life on August 17th, 2007; and two sisters, Faye Nix, who departed this life on November 20th, 1977 and May Durham, who departed this life on December 11th, 1920.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12th, 2008 in the Chapel of the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. David Muse officiating.
Interment followed in the West Somerset Baptist Church Cemetery in Pulaski County, Kentucky.
