Luther W. Acker, 66, a native of the Martinsburg area residing at 2605 15th St., Altoona, died at 8 a.m. Monday, July 23, 1979, in Mercy Hospital, Altoona.
He had retired from the Altoona 7-Up Bottling Co.
Services are being held at 1 p.m. today at the Stevens Chapel, Altoona, by the Rev. Emil J. Engelman. Burial will be in Carson Valley Cemetery.
He was born Dec. 25, 1912, the son of John and Mary (Rhule) Acker, and married Marian A. Edmiston.
Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Susan Parks of Riverside, Calif., and Mrs. Sharon Burk of Gallitzin; three grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Brehman of Altoona, and Mrs. Josephine Allison of Alexandria.
