This is an unconfirmed burial but is based on verbal family history that stated Jeremiah was buried on the Old Williams place where his in-laws were buried. This cemetery was grown over for years but a crew clearing the field uncovered it in the 1930's... it was reported that cows later broke what tombstones remained and that the owner later plowed the cemetery under so that it is now lost to time.

Jeremiah was the son of Britton R. Bridges and Lydia (maiden name possibly Brewer). He married Elizabeth "Betsy" Williams 17 Sept 1835 in Lawrence Co., MS. He was killed by lightening in the spring of 1849 while he was working in his field.
