Grace H. Alexander was born June 24, 1894 in Winchester, Ohio, to William and Martha (Hayes) Hunter. She attended Winchester Public Schools and on March 5, 1909, married David Clinton Alexander. They moved to Darrtown in 1926. Mr. Alexander passed away August 24, 1948. Mrs Alexander was an active member of the Darrtown United Methodist Church and a former board member of the Board of Trustees. She was also a member of the W.S.C.S., the Pythian Sisters, and the Darrtown Garden Club.
Mrs Alexander was survived by one daughter, Mrs Walter (Lela) Alston of Darrtown, 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ida Alexander of Otterbein, Ohio, and one brother, Henry Hunter of Williamsburg, Ohio. She was preceded in death by one son, Clifford Alexander of Hamilton, Ohio in 1975.
