Mrs. Borden was born May 6, 1910, in Shambaugh, Iowa. She married Alfred Clarence Borden on May 14, 1936, who preceded her in death. She was a housekeeper for Ramada Inn for over 30 years.
Mrs. Borden also was preceded in death by her parents, John Scott and Bessie Mae (Beery) McClarnon; three brothers, Roy, Leonard and Vern McClarnon; and her sister, Laura Jarvis.
She loved spending time outdoors, watching sports and caring for her cats.
Survivors: her son, Dr. Wayne Borden, and wife, Donna of Howey In The Hills, Fla.; two daughters, Ruth Athay of the home; and Gloria Yurth, and husband, Gerald of St. Joseph; her sister, Bernice Moore of Clarinda, Iowa; six grandchildren, Shelly Athay and Kelly Chaney, both of St. Joseph; Toni Way and Todd Cooper, both of Hartford, Conn.; Scott Borden of Toano, Va.; and Chris Borden of Providence, R.I.; as well as, numerous great-grandchildren.
