Kenneth Leroy Adams, 85, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at his home in Nevada, MO following a lengthy illness. He was born in Rockville, MO on March 13, 1928 to Benny Clarence Adams and Ivy Beatrice Richeson Adams. He married Violet McQuay on August 4, 1969 in Miami, OK and she preceded him in death on February 24, 2012.

Kenneth was raised in the Rockville area and attended school there. He went into the U. S. Army Corp during World War II. Kenneth lived in Nevada most of his life and drove a truck. He was baptized in the Rockville Baptist Church and was a member of the Nevada Eagles and VFW. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, enjoyed camping, working on a Model A Ford and attending car shows.

He is preceded in death by his wife Violet, his parents, one daughter Susie Caldwell in 2013, six brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 13, 2014 at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, MO, with Rev. Mark Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at Moore Cemetery.

Those who wish may contribute in his memory to Vernon County Cancer Relief.
