Ree Devine Akins, 82, of Lenoir City died Wednesday, April 30, 2003 at Wood Presbyterian Home in Sweetwater. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.R. Akins; daughters, Wanda Jean Akins and Christine Lindsey; son, J.L. Akins; granddaughter, Renee Winn.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara J. Bledsoe and husband, Fred of Lenoir City; sons, J.B. Akins; and wife, Kay, Richard Akins and wife, Karen, all of Chicago, Illinois; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Akins of Cleveland; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Cecil Devine of Chicago, Illinois; sisters, Mae Tallent of Chesterton, Indiana and Earl Gentry of Madisonville; and several nieces.
The family received friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Norman Heath officiating. Burial followed in the Lakeview Cemetery. Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City is serving the family of Ree Akins.
