Mrs. Iva Rita Neel Allen, age 80, of Queen City, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013 at her residence. She was born May 17, 1933 in Anderson County and had been living in Queen City for the past 10 years. As a young girl she worked for Thomas Candy Company in Grapeland and then worked as a nurse's aid. She was Baptist by faith and a housewife.
Preceded in death by husband, Otha Cleon Allen; parents, Walter Frank and Docia Neel; granddaughters, Teresa Joy Allen and Rita Darlene Allen; sisters, Maudine Williams, Era Mae Huff and Hattie Sue Perry.
Funeral services for Mrs. Iva Rita Neel Allen will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Bro. Ralph Johnston officiating. Interment will follow in the San Pedro Church.
