"Carl R. Beebe died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009, after a battle with cancer. He was 75. Mr. Beebe was born Jan. 1, 1934, in Silver Creek, Neb. He worked as an aeronautical engineer in many locations around the country for 30 years. He was a member of First Christian Church in Miami.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Wilma Beebe; one son, Richard Beebe and wife Kim of Joplin, Mo.; one daughter, Betsy Weaver and husband Andy of Enid; one sister, Naomi Kirkland of Kearney Neb., six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ward Beebe and Kenneth Beebe, and one sister Gwen Knight.
He requested his body be donated to University of Oklahoma Health Science Center."
