Jettie Ray “Little Phil” Adams, age 3, was received into the loving arms of Jesus on August 3, 2015. She is survived by her grandparents: Shelley Connell of Calera, AL, Sean Thompson of Callahan, FL and Jetti Adams of Midfield, AL; great-grandmother, Phillis Wright of Calera; her sisters: Lindsey Brooke Adams of Birmingham, AL and Savannah Adams of Tuscaloosa, AL; brother: Anthony Adams, Jr. of Tuscaloosa, AL; father: Anthony Adams; mother: Misty Lynn Wright and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services were held at Rocko Funeral Home (Montevallo), 3715 Highway 25, Trafford, AL on Friday morning, August 7, 2015 at 11 AM. There will be a visitation before that at the same location from 10 to 11 AM. It is open to the public. She will be buried at Providence Baptist Church (PBC) cemetery in Chilton County. The congregation of PBC offered to donate a burial plot free of charge.
NOTE: Misty Lynn Wright, 23, and her boyfriend, 39-year-old Johnathan Wayne Talley, are both accused of abusing Wright's daughter Jettie Adams, 3. Adams died from being punched so hard in the head, stomach and chest that she had internal injuries to her intestines. She died of blunt force trauma. The child's cause of death was ruled as a homicide. Jettie’s body was released to her grandparents.
