Ms. Adams was educated in the public schools of McCormick County. She was an active member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church in Parksville, South Carolina, serving on the Senior Note Choir, and Adult Gospel Choir. Ms. Adams was the rock of the family and known for helping others in need. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and baking pies and cakes.
Left to cherish her memories are four sons: Winn D. (Tracy) Adams of Plum Branch, South Carolina, Kenneth L. Adams of Columbia, South Carolina, Mike (Sharon) Adams of Washington, DC, and Ben A. Adams of Plum Branch, South Carolina; one daughter: Sylvia Adams of McCormick, South Carolina; one brother: James “JB” Blair of Plum Branch, South Carolina; three sisters: Lizzie Wade of Leesburg, Florida, Vernel Philpot of McCormick, South Carolina, and Barbara Blair of Plum Branch, South Carolina; thirteen grandchildren of which two, Sidaria and Saveion Adams, were raised in her home; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral Services were held on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 11 AM at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, Parksville, SC. Burial will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery. Bostick - Tompkins Funeral Home assisted the family.
