David Gene Martin, 73, of 846 Regan Church Road, died Nov. 9, 2007, at Southeastern Hospice House.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Zion Tabernacle Baptist Church, the United States Air Force Chaplain and the Rev. Jimmy Dale officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Cemetery.
Martin was a retired Tech Sergeant in the United States Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his father, Worth B. Martin Sr.; his mother, Beulah Kinlaw; four brothers, Tilden Silas Martin, Worth B. Martin Jr., Fred Martin and Howard Martin; and two sisters, Virginia Martin Tyner and Joyce Martin Wall.
Surviving are his wife, Hopie Herring Martin of the home; a son, David L. "Buddy" Martin and his wife Janet, both of Lumberton; two daughters, Wanda Martin Rodriquez and her husband Jose, both of Sumter, S.C., and Pamela Martin Daniels and her husband James, both of Lumberton; a brother, William A. Martin of Garner; a sister, Mary Ellen Jones of Hampton, Va.; nine grandchildren, Kenny Boubel, Sherry Sutter, Joey Rodriquez, Jennifer Martin, Aaron Martin, Kacey Martin, Rhiannon Willoughby, Chad Willoughby and Jason Willoughby; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory Inc., 809 E. Fifth St., Lumberton.
