RITES SET IN DALLAS, AUSTIN, FOR MRS ALICE BLUNDEL, 83.
Austin, Texas. - Funeral Services will be held in Austin and Dallas Thursday for Mrs Alice Flack Blundell, who died here Wednesday.
Mrs Blundell was the mother of James H Blundell Jr, Dallas Public relations man who was manager last year of the United States Senate campaign of William A Blakley of Dallas. He has been closely associated with Governoor Price Daniel and former Governor Allan Shivers and long been active in Texas Democratic affairs.
Mrs Blundell died one day after her 83rd birthday in St David's Hospital here where she had been a patient for five months.
Memorial services will be conducted at 10.00am Thursday in Hyltin Manor Funeral Home here. Funeral services will be held at 4.00pm Thursday in Dallas in the Chapel of the Wildwood, with burial in Restland Cemetery. Dr Alsie Carleton, pastor of University Park Methodist Church will officiate in the Dallas services.
Mrs Blundell had lived here since 1938. After her marriage here in 1906 to the late James H Blundell, a long time state employee who died in December 1956, the couple lived in Smithville and Waco before returning here.
She was born in Giddings, Lee County on 14 Apr 1876. She was a member of Ward Memorial Methodist Church here.
She is survived by her son and three grandaughters of Dallas.
