Ethan Allison Allen, 79, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012. He was a Jacksonville native but had lived in Bryceville for a number of years.

He was a veteran of the US Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict and had retired from the Air Force Reserves. Ethan had been the owner of Chapman-Allen Television Service and was a longtime member and former officer of FESA.

He was predeceased by 2 sons, Tommy and Mickey Crenshaw and 2 brothers, Wendell and Norvelle Allen, as well as his parents, Ethan & Gladys Adams Allen. His surviving family includes: his wife of 48 years, Viola Allen; his daughter, Lillian Sessions and her husband, Jody; his sons, Dennis and Marcus Crenshaw; his brother, Ronald H. Allen; 20 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 5 great great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 10:30 AM in the chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Ave., with Mr. Bill Leonard officiating. Interment will follow at Verdie Cemetery in Bryceville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
