---The community was grieved when news went over the wires that J.B. Aldrich, a prominent farmer of near this city had died Tuesday evening of this week. Mr. Aldrich was only ill a few hours and died before doctors could reach his home, heart trouble being the cause of his death.
---Jacob Benjamin Aldrich was born near Wichita, Kansas on October 17, 1879 and died February 17, 1925 at 9:20 p.m. at the age of forty-six years and four months.
---He was united in marriage October 15, 1899 to Miss Ida Hence.
---Mr. Aldrich and his wife united with the Christian Church in 1906. He was a true and faithful husband and father and holds the esteem of all who knew him.
---His death was a shock to all and he leaves to mourn his loss, his bereaved wife, one son, Andrew Aldrich and three daughters, Mrs. Graydon and Alice and Mildred Aldrich. One son, Roy Aldrich, preceded him in infancy. He also leaves a host of other relatives and friends.
---Funeral services will be held from the First Baptist Church Friday morning at 11:00, conducted by Rev. A.B. Jackson, pastor of the Community Presbyterian Church. Interment in La Plata cemetery.
