Valentin's parents were: Elias Ramirez, Sr. and Isabel Ayala Ramirez, according to his death certificate. Valentin's cause of death was a stab wound to the chest, and was indicated to be a homicide on the death certificate. The photo, taken in Houston's Magnolia Park, includes an unidentified man whose face is mostly hidden, Juanita Sanchez Rodrigues (Valentin's fiance), Mrs. Isabel Angela Ramirez (Valentin's mother), Pedro Goza, and Antonio Flores. Valentin is dressed in a military-looking uniform, as are Pedro Goza and the unidentified man. Young Valentin aka Elias, Jr. was a musician and is said to have played the saxophone.
