Elias Ramirez, Jr. is seen on the 1920 and 1930 Houston, Harris County, Texas censuses as Valentin Ramirez. There is a post-mortem photo of young Juan Valentin Ramirez at the Houston Public Library as part of the Houston Metropolitan Research collection. With permission, the Facebook site, Traces of Texas, posted this photo on 16 Apr 2015. Valentin's death certificate (which can be found at the familysearch.org website), is listed under the name, Elias Ramirez, Jr. In the photo, he is called Juan Valentin and is listed as Valentin in the censuses. Valentin's parents were: Elias Ramirez, Sr. and Isabel Ayala Ramirez, according to his death certificate. Valentin's cause of death was a stab wound to the chest, and was indicated to be a homicide on the death certificate. The photo, taken in Houston's Magnolia Park, includes an unidentified man whose face is mostly hidden, Juanita Sanchez Rodrigues (Valentin's fiance), Mrs. Isabel Angela Ramirez (Valentin's mother), Pedro Goza, and Antonio Flores. Valentin is dressed in a military-looking uniform, as are Pedro Goza and the unidentified man. Young Valentin aka Elias, Jr. was a musician and is said to have played the saxophone.
