Edward, May, and Bert Adams --

Greenwood Cemetery records show Gilbert as the owner of Section D, Lot 155-N. This is a half-lot, with space for about 4 adult burials. There are three known burials on this lot, all adults: Gilbert; his wife, Emma (Johnson) Adams; and their son, Frederick Adams. Although the exact date of Gilbert's purchase of Lot 155-N is not presently known, it would appear to have been in or before 1886, when Fred died.

Gilbert and Emma had three additional children who died as infants or young. Edward, 1867-1897; May, 1871-1871; and Bert, 1876-1877. It is highly likely that May and Bert are buried on Section D, Lot 82, owned by their paternal grandfather, Dudley Gilman Adams (see more below). It is also possible that they are buried on Section D, Lot 155-N, owned by their father. Lot 82 seems more likely because it does not appear the lot was filled in 1871, and a family would be expected to use a lot already owned, rather than buying a new one.

Dudley Gilman and Sarah (Green) Adams --

Gilbert is the son of Dudley Gilman Adams, born 3 Mar 1798 in USA, NH, Belknap, Gilmanton; died 30 Jan 1870, almost certainly, in USA, NY, Niagara, Wilson. He married Sarah "Sally" Green 6 Sep 1819. Sally was born about 1803 in Canada; and died in or after 1865, also almost certainly, in USA, NY, Niagara, Wilson.

Dudley is shown in Greenwood Cemetery records as the owner of Lot 82 in Section D. His youngest child, Charles Adams, is known to be buried on Lot 82. Cynthia Eggleston may also be buried on this lot. Please see her memorial for more information. No markers besides Charles' and Cynthia's have been visible on Dudley's lot since at least 1989, when a reading of Section D of the cemetery was completed.

In all probability, Dudley and Sarah are buried on Lot 82, Section D, in Greenwood Cemetery. However, with no cemetery records from the time of their deaths, and no markers for them, it is not possible to say that they are.

From A Genealogical History of Henry Adams, Dudley and Sally's children are:

* Samuel, born 21 Apr 1821 and died 29 Jun 1821, both in Canada, Ontario, Hastings County, Rawdon;
* William G, born 26 Apr 1822 and died 5 Apr 1881, both in Rawdon;
* James Gilbert;
* Sophronia;
* Matilda;
* Sarah Anna "Sally";
* George, born 14 Sep 1837 in Rawdon, died 19 Jul 1844 in USA, NY, Niagara, Wilson;
* Martha, born 19 Jul 1840 in Wilson, died 27 Oct 1872, married Gilbert Henry and Mr Madden;
* Elizabeth, born 28 Jul 1843 in Wilson, died 25 Jul 1863, married Judson Washburn; and
* Charles.

It is also highly probable that Dudley and Sarah's son George is buried on Lot 82, and quite possible that their daughters Martha and Elizabeth, both of whom died young, are also buried there.
