She has got a brother, Erich, which died in the World War II and two step-siblings. Elli was the mother of four children.
Her husband, father of her two youngest daughters, commit suicide in the beginning of the 1960s.
In November 2007 she gets ill and since December 2007 she was bedridden and needs care.
She died in the morning of February 1., 2008 aged 82.
