Son of Walter (sr) & Emma Behncke.
He and his wife Martha (maiden: Dreger or Dreyer, *29.09.1923 - †1989) were parents of six children: five boys and a girl.
In 1989 Martha died of cancer.
Gerhard died 1991 probably of a cerebral infarction aged 70.
