Robert R. Canon
Dies Tuesday
At Home Here
Robert Ragle Canon, aged 35 died at his home in Augusta Tuesday after a lengthy illness. He was born in Pecos, N. M. He was an employee of Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation, and a member of the First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Robert, Jr. and Mark, one daughter, Ray Nell all of the home; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Ray Canon of Lockney, Tex.; his grandmother, Mrs. Ida Ragle of Lockney, Tex.; one brother, Bill Canon of Sante Fe, N. M.; and one sister, Mrs. John Carthel of Lockney, Texas.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church by Rev. Paul R. Barrington. The body was shipped to Lockney, Tex., for the second service and burial in Lockney Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Brannan, James Dailey, Raymond Pardee, Burnis Brown, William D. Smith, and James Edwards.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be given to the Lottie Moon Christmas offering.
