The sudden death from heart disease, on Monday, of Lowry Barbour, takes away one of the oldest citizens of this county. Mr. Barbour was born in Concord Township in 1814, 87 years ago last Saturday. On January 1st, 1839 he was married to Miss Harriet Dalzell, who survives him. Besides the widow, two sons and one daughter survive him. The deceased was prominent for many years in agricultural circles, being for several terms an active element in the affairs of the Miami County Agricultural Association. He was the best type of the honest, upright farmer, and enjoyed the confidence and respect of all who learned to know and appreciate his good qualities. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon, and the remains were laid away in Riverside Cemetery.
