Stella Abbott, 96, of Clarks Summit, died Friday evening at Mountain View Care Center. She was the wife of Jack Abbott, who passed away in 1981. Born in the Minooka section of Scranton, daughter of the late Stanley and Stella Olanovich Perko, she graduated from Dickson City High School, and worked at J. C. Penney, before her retirement. She resided the majority of her life in Eynon, having lived in Dickson City and Olyphant previously, and was a member of various senior citizens clubs and altar and rosary societies at local churches. She was also a past Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed travelling, doing puzzles, trips to Mohegan Sun, Syracuse basketball and Phil Mickelson. She was affectionately known as "Grammy" to her grandchildren and "GG" to her great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mame Berczewicz; and two brothers, William and Stanley Perko. The funeral will be on Tuesday, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Parish at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Archbald. Interment will take place at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Blakely. Friends may call on Tuesday from 9 to 10 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Archbald.
