Marie Frances Allen, 85, of Jermyn, died Monday at home. Born in Jermyn, daughter of the late Marie O'Dowd Allen Davies, she was a graduate of Jermyn High School and the Caledonia Nursing School, Brooklyn, N.Y. She was a nurse at the Caledonia Hospital, Brooklyn, and later worked at the Moses Taylor Hospital before retirement. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Church. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, John Wallace Allen, Thomas Allen and Leonard Allen. Friends and family are invited to attend graveside service Friday at 10 a.m. in Calvary Cemetery, Mayfield.
