Long time Fresno area resident and media personality Bill Allison passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2014, from natural causes.

He worked for 28 years in Broadcasting for both radio and television and then served as the manager of the Fresno County Farm Bureau for 19 years and was "The voice of the Fresno Fair" for ten years. One of his most notable accomplishments was the formation of an agricultural-education program in area schools.

After retirement he spent many hours volunteering in the community, including the center for the blind, the food bank and Children's Hospital Central Valley. He enjoyed singing with his church choir, golf, gardening and photography.

He was in the loving care of his wife Charlotte Slaten-Allison. Bill was the father six children, ten grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, three step-children, and three step-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life to be held on October 29, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at Northwest Church.
