Sandra was born on June 11, 1936, in Fresno, CA to Carl and Helen Scheidt. Her mother passed away when Sandra was an infant, and she was raised by her father and stepmother, Jane.
She attended Roosevelt High School, graduating in 1954. She started a career in Banking in Fresno and there she met the love of her life, Peter Ralph Antonino, and they married on June 1, 1957. Pete and Sandra had three children.
When the family moved to Santa Cruz in 1968, Sandra resumed her career in banking and worked at Bank of America starting as an NCR machine operator and retiring as a loan officer.
Sandra was a devout Lutheran (later converted to Catholicism, the faith of her husband) and a loving wife and mother. She gladly participated in the many activities of her children. She loved to sew, crochet, knit and embroider and was a Ninja at crossword puzzles. Sandra studied piano as a child and was a substitute church organist and choir member. She and Pete enjoyed dancing and they were in a bowling league.
Pete passed away on July 29, 2015, within just five days of her passing. Sandra is survived by her daughter Lisa and son-in-law Mike Schoessow; son Lawrence (Larry) and daughter-in-law Pamela Manganaro, son Robert and daughter-in-law Christina; grandchildren Alysha, Stefan, Arik (Schoessow), Lauren and Matthew.
A memorial service will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Capitola, CA on Wednesday September 16, 2015, at 1:00 pm.
