Beckwith, George Edwin Age 80, of Maplewood, passed away 5/4/06. Born 3/28/1926 in Detroit, MI. Graduated high school in Harrodsburg, KY in 1944. US Army vet, 101st Airborne and Counter Intelligence Corps (CIC) in post-WWII Austria. Past Master University Masonic Lodge #316. Member Unizar Lodge #347, Scottish Rite, Zuhrah Shrine Merrimakers, Knights Templar. Preceded in death by wife of 42 yrs, Ruth Annah (Rudesill); mother, Lucy; father, Floyd; sister, Betty. He will be greatly missed by children, Nancy (Geoff) Rendall, Robin (Mary Jane Crowe), Timothy (Nancy), Heidi (Alan) Aker; sister, Virginia Holland; 8 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Visitation Mon., 5/8 from 6-9 pm with Masonic service at 7:30 pm at Sunset Chapel, 2250 St. Anthony Blvd. NE, Mpls. Funeral Tue., 5/9 at 11 am at Trinity Baptist, 2220 Edgerton St., St. Paul, with add'l visitation 1 hr. prior. Interment Sunset. Sunset Funeral Home 612-789-3596
