HIRAM A. BUTTERFIELD DIES AT HOSPITAL
Was For Number of Years Postmaster at Dalton.
The death of Hiram A. Butterfield, a well known resident of North Muskegon, occurred at 8 o’clock last evening at Hackley hospital, where he had been taken during his last illness.
Mr. Butterfield was 74 years old and had been a resident of Muskegon county for the last 32 years. He has resided most of the time north of Muskegon and was for a number of years a postmaster at Dalton village.
He was born in Canada. Besides his wife, Mr. Butterfield leaves three sons and two daughters. The former are Herbert Butterfield of Alton, Pa., Byron Butterfield of Berrien Springs, Mich., and Myron Butterfield of Buchanan, Mich. His daughters are Mrs. Leroy Bates of Muskegon and Mrs. Fred Dow of Dalton township. The funeral will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 at the Dalton M. E. church. The Rev. W. H. Wright of the Wood avenue and North Muskegon M. E. churches will conduct the services.
The burial will be in the Fruitland cemetery.
