The first wife of Peter Burkhart, she and Peter married in Sullivan County, Tennessee on Jan 27, 1811. Their union produced eleven children, including 1-2 sets of twins.
They were:

*Caroline Eliza, b.1813, in Sullivan Co., Tenneseee,
*Eli Emmanuel, b.Oct 12, 1815, Sullivan Co., TN
*Priscilla H., b.1818, Sullivan County, Tennessee
*Jonathan, b.1820, Corryton Community, Knox Co., TN
*John Wesley, b.May 24, 1820, Corryton, Knox Co., TN (twin of Jonathan?)

*Elizabeth Jane, b.Mar 27, 1824, Corryton, Knox Co., TN
*James Allen, b.1830 (and probably a twin of Harriett)
*Harriett Evaline, b. Jan 17, 1830,(probable twin of James)
* and Morgan Tennessee, b.Apr 14, 1831, Corryton, TN

Rachel was fated to live but a short time on this Earth, passing from this life at the age of 39 on May 19, 1832. It is not known where she is buried. Her husband remarried 4 years later, to Ann Gillum (1801-1889), in 1836 in Knox County, Tennessee. Five children were born from this marriage. Peter died in 1868 at the age of 83 yrs. & it is assumed he was buried near his first wife, Rachel, as was the tradition.
As of April, 2012, I learned the following about the two eldest daughters:
Margaret married James Zachary & they lived in Knox County, TN. They had one child, Rachel. When they died, they were both buried in the Zachary Cemetery at Knox County in unmarked graves. Caroline Eliza married Richard Kelly. She died in 1860 in Bradley County, Tennessee. I could not locate her grave either. I was able to finally learn about both Harriett & Priscilla due to information provided by Carol Nygren, the 3rd gt.paternal granddaughter of John Franklin Brown and Priscilla Burkhart Brown, in Aug 2013. A memorial was created for each of them, thanks to the information she provided to me on Oct 13, 2013.
