Kathleen was born to John J. Swanson and Lela L. Stewart and married Joseph L. Badding in 1947. She was a resident of Ft. Lupton and Brighton from 1954 to 2003 before moving to Westminster. Kathleen loved gardening. She loved people and adored her grandchildren. Her most recent goal was to take a trip down the Mississippi River. She enjoyed big band music and was well known in the communities where she lived. She loved baking and cooking for family and friends.

Kathleen was survived by her husband; sons Joseph L. (Val) Badding of Westminster and Steve S. (Joan) Badding of Calgary, Canada; daugher Patty K. Murray of Brighton; brothers Jack Swanson, Gary Swanson and David Swanson; sister Donna L. Whited; 11 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded by daughter Marlene T. Finley in 2001; son Daniel Badding in 1973 (Memorial #3335321) and by two sisters. Services held at Spirit of Christ Catholic Church, Arvada on January 15.
