On April 23, 1994, Marilyn married the love of her life, Bob Amos in Rapid City, SD. Together they raised daughter Mikayla. Marilyn grew up in Rapid City and graduated from Rapid City Central High School in 1987. She then attended the South Dakota School of Mines and earned a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics. Marilyn began her career as a Cost Accountant, working for Particle Measuring Systems, EAS, Celestial Seasonings and Dynamic Fabricators where she moved into Inventory Control. She was currently working for Cooper Lighting. Marilyn loved to paint and arts and crafts; especially making quilts for friends and family. She was also a gifted seamstress and made many beautiful dresses for Mikayla. She was an avid reader with a wide variety of interests. She became a Reiki Master and used her talents through Life Spark to help comfort and heal cancer patients with positive energy medicine. She also loved her pets, a dachshund poodle named Snickers and two cats. Survived beside her loving husband of 21 years included: daughter,mother,3 brothers,sister,specials "E"and "J",4 brothers in law and 3 sisters in law; and 21 nieces and nephews. Preceding was her father Gerald Moore. Celebration of Life held June 26 at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home. Our records indicate that Mrs. Amos was not laid to rest in a cemetery. Her remains were taken home with her husband.
