Kurt was born to Ronald Keith Ackerman and Norma Hazel Taylor Ackerman. He grew up in Menan, with his parents and two sisters. He attended schools in Menan and Rigby and graduated from Rigby High School. On February 5, 1982, he married Connie McRae in Menan, Idaho, and to this union were born two daughters, Jennifer and Kristie. They divorced in 1989. In 1992, he met his partner-in-crime and future wife, Jenni Larsen. On February 28, 1998, he married the love of his life, Jenni, and they resided in Idaho Falls until 2006, when they built their home in Menan. Kurt worked for Swire Coca Cola as a service technician then went on to be a concrete truck operator at Monroc. Kurt was currently employed as an equipment operator at INL. His many hobbies included snow machining, dirt bikes, camping, fishing, hunting, and working in his shop. Kurt always referred to himself as a jack of all trades, master of none. Kurt could put a smile on everyone's face, whether it be his innocent teasing, his jokes, or his contagious smile. He had the ability to make you blush two shades darker than your normal blush. Survivors beside his mother and his loving wife included: daughters Jennifer (Matthew) Dixon of Menan and Kristie (Casey Christensen) Ackerman of Idaho Falls; son Gage Ackerman of Menan; granddaughters Kaebree Nebeker and Addie Christensen' sister Sonya (Victor) Noles of Idaho Falls and Chere Garland of Menan. His whole world was centered around his family and teaching them the joys of the great outdoors. Kurt thought it was important to teach his family how to hunt, fish, ride and enjoy life. He believed life was short and you need to play hard and live it to the fullest. "If you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch." Kurt had no greater joy then his family. Memorial donations were accepted through Wood Funeral Home, P. O. Box 51434, Idaho Falls 83405, to go towards his granddaughters' college funds. Memorial services held August 5th at Wood Funeral Home East Side at 963 South Ammon Road
