Irene Anderson Bailey, 60, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, lost her courageous battle with ovarian cancer, April 18, 2004, at home surrounded by her family. She was born January 14, 1944, in Glendale, California, to James and Utahna Anderson. She grew up and attended school in Arco, where she loved horses and was a member of the Atom Busters Riding Club. Irene was a member of the Job's Daughters and was the Honored Queen of Bethel #51 in 1959.

On September 14, 1963, she married the love of her life, Ken Bailey. They celebrated 40 wonderful years together. Irene greatly enjoyed helping other people, which enhanced her 15 year career, working in the human resource field. In 1999, she accepted her dream job of Human Resources Manager at Center Partners. She was the Memorial Chairman for the American Cancer Society for over 25 years and she served her community by volunteering on the Idaho Falls Civil Service Commission.

She was devoted to her family and loved watching her sons and grandsons grow and play hockey and enjoyed teaching her granddaughter to shop for shoes. She was also looking forward to the birth of her 5th grandchild in October.

Mom loved great food, good wine and being with friends; especially the time she spent out with her family on Friday nights and Sunday afternoons.

Survivors include her husband, Ken, of Idaho Falls; two sons, Todd (Kathleen) Bailey of Pullman, Wa, and Steven (Debbie) Bailey of Pocatello; one sister, Linda (Mike) Baxter of Pocatello; and four grandchildren, Mason, Andrew, Alyssa and Carter Bailey.

Funeral Services were held April 22, 2004, at First Baptist Church (665 John Adams Parkway), with Pastor David Moor officiating.
