Dale J. Blair was the son of Robert Smith Blair and Elizabeth (Tedrow) Blair. He was one of eleven children born to them. He married Anna Belle Aeschliman February 13, 1917. He was a farmer most of his adult life. They had two children, Kathryn Mae (born in Wauseon, Ohio) in 1920 and Jane Ann (born in Toledo, Ohio) in 1926.
Dale died suddenly at the age of 60, a result of a combination of a heart attack and diabetes, which was not diagnosed until after his death.
The year he died, Grandpa built a toy barn made of wood for my brother and a wooden doll house for me. He died three days before Christmas so the doll house has been a precious thing to me. I was eight years old when he died and wish I would have known him longer.
I was told he had a great sense of humor. That is the best way to get through life.
