FRED HARLING, 77, RETIRED RAILROAD EMPLOYEE IS DEAD
Fred HARLING, seventy seven years old, 1616 Prospect Avenue, a retired railroad employee, died Friday morning at a local hospital. A native of Germany, he had been a resident of this country for fifty years, most of that time in St. Joseph. He was a member of the Francis St. Methodist Church and the King Hill Lodge No. 19 I.O.O.F.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Emma Harling, a son Fred Harling Jr. of St. Joseph, three daughters, Mrs. Ester Myers of Alhambra, Calif., Mrs. Alma Straughtman [Strautman] of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Mrs. Elva Scott of St. Joseph, Mo., eight grand-children and one great-grandchild.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

Eight Grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was a member of the Francis St. Methodist Church and the King Hill Lodge No. 19 I.O.O.F. Remains are at Fleeman Funeral Home where services will be conducted at 3 P.M. Monday. Burial will be in Mount Mora Cemetery.
