BYRDSTOWN
Joyce Chestelean Anderson Abbott, 79, of Pickett County Care and Rehab passed away Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011 at the Clinton Co. Hospital. She was born April 28, 1933 in Fentress County and was the daughter of the late Willie Rita Anderson Kimpton.
Mrs. Abbott was a retired factory employee, homemaker and a member of the Duvall Valley United Baptist Church. Other than her mother she is preceded in death by husband, Clyde Dewey Abbott and son, Lonnie Abbott.
Survivors include a son, two daughters-in-law, three sisters, three grandchildren, seven great grand-children, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 14, 2011 at Brown Funeral Chapel and burial was at Parris-Riley Cemetery. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.
