OBITUARY

BYRDSTOWN
Dewey Clyde Abbott, 79, of 253 Ford St., Byrdstown passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011 at the Clinton Co. Hospital. He was born January 14, 1932 in Pickett Co. to the late Sherman and Easter Walker Abbott.

Mr. Abbott lived all his life in Pickett Co. and was a retired sawmill employee and was a member of the Duvall Valley Baptist Church.

Other than his parents he is preceded in death by: one son, Lonnie Abbott; four sisters, Lora Johnson, Betty Garrett, Jewell Dean Walker and Lizzie Wright; four brothers, Howard, Adam, Johnny and Wilburn Abbott.

Survivors include: his wife, one son, a sister, a brother, three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Brown Funeral Chapel with burial at Parris-Riley Cemetery. Special care provided by Brown Funeral Chapel.
