Eugene Marion Hanson, retired wholesale fruit merchant, died Saturday of heart disease, in his home at Lowerre Summit Park, Yonkers. Mr. Hanson was born in Middletown, Delaware, Jan. 7, 1848, and married Kate Reybold Cochran on Nov. 9, 1870. Mr. and Mrs. Hanson had expected to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary next week. For 35 years he was a partner in the firm of R. E. Cochran & Co., 132 Park place, New York City. He retired from business 11 years ago, and at that time came to Yonkers to live. He is survived by his wife; by a son, E. Irving Hanson, of New Rochelle; three daughters, Mrs. Ernest V. [Elizabeth] Connolly, Mrs. C. Parker [Kathryn] Lattin and Mrs. Walter E. Fancher, of this city; and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at his late residence at 8 o'clock this evening, and interment will be in Forest Cemetery, Middletown, Del.
