Carlus Baker
Carlus Baker of Adamsville died Monday, Feb. 24, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital at the age of 74. He was born in Michie on March 20, 1922, and was the son of Walker and Nannie Baker. He was married to the former Juanita Wilson on Sept. 28, 1946. A farmer, Mr. Baker had lived in Morris Chapel all his life, prior to moving to Adamsville 14 years ago. Services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, at Shackelford Chapel with burial in Morris Chapel Cemetery. Mike Moore officiated. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Dee Baker of Seeley Lake, Mont.; two sisters, Kate Wardlow of St. Louis, Mo., and Mattie Donahue of Michie; three brothers, L.P. Baker of Memphis and Billy and Curtis Baker of Michie; and four grandchildren.
