Lyman Kyral "L. K." Alexander was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas, on November 3rd, 1914, a Tuesday. He was the son of Benjamin Fred Alexander and Vera Gertrude Clark.

The 1940 Federal Census record shows that completed two years of college and was a minister in Wenasoga, Mississippi. His death certificate confirms that as his occupation. It also suggests that he went by his middle name, Kyral.

Lyman married Mattie Jane Sims. They had five children, three daughters and two sons. He was a gospel preacher and ministered to churches of Christ. On August 24th, 2004, Brother Alexander passed to his eternal reward.

There was an interesting article about this family in the Bedford, Indiana Times in 1971. It says he came to Harrodsburg from Houston (doesn't say which Houston (in June of 1960), and was a minister in the Church of Christ on Washington Street in Bloomington. The article is primarily about the fact that the Alexander's had four children and a daughter-in-law all at Indiana University at the same time.
