Joan Devine of Brooksville, passed away December 4, 2014.
She was born in Martin, Kentucky and came to Florida 27 years ago from Ohio. She was raised in a Pentecostal Church all her life, and loved our Lord Jesus Christ.
She was a loving mother, sister, and daughter who had a heart of gold and would always put everyone else before herself always making everyone smile and feel welcome no matter where she was. She would go out of her way to help a complete stranger. She lived her life for God, and her children. Family meant everything to her, and she will live on in all of the hearts she has touched. She loved to go to thrift stores with her daughters, loved her little Chihuahua's, and loved to drive; just going somewhere.
She was a homemaker and a single mother of 5, and she more than filled the role of a Mother and a Father; no one could ask for a better parent or friend.
Joan is predeceased by her father and mother, Oliver and Rhoda Mann; daughter, Tonya McCoy Hudson; sister, Nora May McCoy; sisters and brother-in-laws, Maxine and Edwin Zacharias and Elsie and Orville Bridges.
