Elmer B. Day, age 63 of Brooksville, FL died Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at his home. Born in Tazewell, VA he came here 22 years ago from Clearwater, FL. He was an insuance agent, opening the first State Farm Agency in Spring Hill, FL in 1980. He previously taught business courses in Largo, Pinellas Park and Clearwater, was a member of the Masonic Lodge #141 of Berwind, WV and the Egypt Shrine Temple of Tampa, FL and he attended the Spring Lake United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his Wife: Janice; Sons & Daughters-in-law: David & Sandra Day, John & Tracy Day, and Robert & Joy Day; Daughter & Son-in-law: Susan & Fred Brown; Brother: John Day; Sister & Brother-in-law: Pauline & Donald Hess; Grandchildren: Matthew, Mark, Michelle & Marissa Brown, Darren Day and Ryan Day.

Visitation for friends will be 6 - 8pm, Mon., June 21, 2004 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel. Funeral services & burial will remain private for the family.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
