She moved from the 'Free State' to Dallas, Texas in 1929 following the Stock Market Crash. She was a homemaker, and had a natural musical talent. Her instrument of choice was the organ. She only had to listen to a song one time, and she could play it by ear on her beloved organ. She was married to Charlie Lee Sullivan for over 50 years and raised three daughters and one son.
