David Wesley Brashears, 87, of the Fairfield Harbour community, formerly of Maryland, died on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at his home. He served in the United States Navy during the Korea War and was honorably discharged in 1952. Following his service to our county, David enjoyed a lengthy career with the Honeywell Corporation where he worked in electronic engineering. He loved his family and cherished every moment spent with them. He is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, DOROTHY E. DAWSON BRASHEARS; Two daughters, PATRICIA PUMPHREY (Richard) and MICHELLE WILSON (Richard); three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family will honor David with a private memorial service and he will be buried at a later date.
