Donald Carl Cleek was born in Olathe, KS on February 12, 1933 to Carl Andrew and Helen May Hertzler Cleek. Donald died Wednesday, March 25, 1998 at the VA Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri. He lived in Olathe for 25 years and previously lived in San Jose, California; Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Phoenix, Arizona. He taught computer programming and worked at Rio Salido College, Phoenix for 15 years and also, taught in Kansas City, Missouri for 10 years. He taught federal prisoners in Phoenix at night while in Arizona. He retired in August 1997.

Donald served in the US Army and was stationed in Korea 1953 - 1955. He graduated from Southwest High School, Kansas City, Missouri and was a college graduate.

He was married on May 9, 1959 in Kansas City, Jackson, Missouri. His wife survives of the home. Other survivors include a daughter of Sedalia, Missouri; a son of Olathe, KS; and three grandchildren. Donald was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner, Cremation, Inurnment will be in the Gardner Cemetery. There is no visitation.
