George served his county proudly in the USAF as a nuclear weapons specialist. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. Also, he was a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics; Federation Aeronautique Internationale; Society of Plastic Engineers; and Society of Metals Engineers. He served as a delegate for Consumer Products Safety Commission and the US Coast Guard Advisory Board.
He earned a bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan. George was employed by Attwood Corp., Lowell, Michigan as a design engineer; Donzi Marine-Chris Craft Outboard Marine Corp. in Indiana and Florida as director of engineering; Muskin Division of U.S. Leisure, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania as a manager of Ccorporate engineering; Beaird Poulan/Weedeater Division of Emerson Electric as chief engineer; and Starcraft Marine as assistant vice-president of engineering.
George will be missed by his loving family and many friends.
