Bessie Jo Acton, 78, passed away Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008, at her home in Columbia.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Alvy Acton; daughter Marilynn of Centralia; sons Brian of Sturgeon and Brad of Columbia; two sisters, Frances and Hallie of Ashland; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Dorothy Sapp; a daughter, Carolynn; and six brothers.
